Airmax™ Nasal Dilator | How to

Airmax™ Nasal Dilators are designed to help breathing in people who have blocked nasal passages or a Deviated Septum.

the the most advanced Nasal Dilators that we sell NZ wide at Snorblok. Made in Europe, the advanced design not only helps anyone that has trouble breathing through their nose, but also has extensive success in stopping snoring in many people.

The Airmax™ nasal dilators often prove to be more effective than Breath Right® Nasal strips. They are made in the Netherlands from a soft, odourless and medically certified plastic.

Airmax Nasal Dilators widen the narrowest part of the nose without being visible on the outside of the nose. The mechanical widening has shown efficacy in increasing the airflow, which enables the air to go deeper into the lungs and provides more oxygen.

The Airmax Nasal Dilator has been developed for a comfortable fit and to date there have been no cases of allergic reactions due to use of the product reported.

Understanding How the Airmax® Nasal Dilator Works.

In addition to smelling, the nose has an important function in our breathing system as most of the breathing takes place through the nose.

The nose has the task to clean and heat the inhaled air before it enters the lungs meaning that the nose kind of works like an ‘air-control system’ and both temperature and humidity are optimized. It is therefore usually recommended to breathe through the nose, however, some people do have difficulties breathing through the nose due to deformities such as a deviated septum, or to obstructions as a result of allergies etc.

And that is where the Airmax nasal insert is perfect. To help reduce or completely resolve these problems without medication the Airmax Classic Nasal Insert is the answer.

Airmax® And Snoring

Airmax® is an example of the increasingly popular use of non-surgical, non-invasive anti snoring treatments.

Airmax® helps people who snore to breathe more freely through the nose. The mechanical widening has shown efficacy in increasing the airflow, which enables the air to go deeper into the lungs and provides more oxygen. The Airmax® nasal dilator has been studied and tested extensively in scientific clinical research and is proven effective with many cases of snoring.

Read a review of the use of Airmax by snorers:

''Once I fell asleep as was unaware that it was in my nose at all. I had good night sleep as I didn't keep on making myself jump with loud snoring. I had no dry mouth or throat either as I breathed through my nose instead of my mouth which in turn meant that I didn't keep waking for a drink of water. My husband also said that he slept well and now  he reminds me to put it in my nose before I go to bed. It works better than any sprays, nose plasters ect. so I would say if you have a snorer in the house, try it! It works for me.''

Airmax® And Obstructive Sleep Apnoea

Airmax® helps people with a mild form of sleep apnoea to breathe more freely through the nose. Should one make use of an oxygen mask, then Airmax® can be combined with this mask without any problems. The mechanical widening has shown efficacy in increasing the airflow, which enables the air to go deeper into the lungs and provides more oxygen. Airmax® has been studied and tested extensively in scientific clinical research and is proven effective. Airmax® is available through various pharmacies and in online webshops.

The Airmax is available in two different sizes, Small (S) and Medium (M).

The most common size is medium, however if you think that you m ay have a small than average nasal passage, we stock a special Trial Pack that contains one Small size Airmax Nasal Insert and one Medium size. One you have established the correct size for you, you can then easily reorder the correct size for your future needs.

In principle, the small (blue) and medium (orange) are the same, however, there is a small difference between both sizes. The width of the Airmax nasal dilator. As you can see on the picture, the width from the Airmax nasal dilator medium is 1,5 mm wider than the Airmax nasal dilator small. This causes the Airmax medium to widen the nasal passage even further, which means that you can breathe more air through the nose.
